LEHI - <! > Melissa Hawkley Davis, age 37, of Lehi, Utah, passed away March 12, 2004, at her home after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born June 13, 1966, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Edward Merle and Laura Lee Fewens Hawkley. She married Phillip John Davis on July 20, 1996, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She practiced law as a public defender for Utah County, and was also a registered nurse. She was artistic and liked gardening. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife and mother who loved her family, especially her husband and children. Melissa was active in the LDS Church and loved the Lord and had great faith.

Survived by her husband, Phillip, Lehi; 2 children, Hawkley Edward Davis and London Emily Davis, both of Lehi; grandmother, Ruth Fewens, Boise, ID; 1 brother, Joel F. (Mary Lou) Hawkley, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 sisters, Edee H. (Kenneth) Raines, Lehi; Jennifer H. (Ray) Cox, St. George. Preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a brother, Edward Warren Hawkley.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi North Stake Center, 2178 N 1200 E. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and Tuesday at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
