On February 29, 2004 our dear dad, grandpa, husband, brother and friend, Dean Neil Leftwich, 66, passed away at his home in Lindon, Utah with Connie by his side.

He was born February 18, 1938 in Tacoma, WA to Leonard and Opal Haws Leftwich. He grew up in Utah and achieved many things during his life including serving in the armed forces. Dean was a very talented person with many interests. He was a genuinely giving person and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Leftwich; daughter, Deena (Dean) Lab; her mother, Patti Olson; three grandchildren: Chelsi, Tyson and Kasey Bills; four stepchildren: Lisa Woolsey, Lewis, Jason and James Ivy; four brothers: Jack (Linda) Leftwich, Mark Leftwich, Laverne (Nancy) Leftwich, Robert (Anne) Leftwich; a sister, Charlotte (David) Caley; and many much-loved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister and her husband, Bonnie and Kayle Brereton.

A memorial service will be held at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S. 300 E. Pleasant Grove, UT at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 6, 2004. At Dean's request, cremation has taken place and at the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Homeless Veterans Fund, P.O. Box 581900, SLC, UT 84158-1900.
