"Our Love"

Hans A. Kunkel passed away March 17, 2004 in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born August 9, 1920 in Tilsit, Germany to Johann Adalbert and Anna Emma Guddat Kunkel. Married Charlotte Stake in Hamburg, Germany May 9, 1942. Marriage later solemnized in the Swiss Temple.

Hans was a lifetime member of the LDS Church, holding many callings. He was a hard worker, learned ship building, marble finishing and worked for the church for 25 years and at Cottonwood Mall for 35 years. He was still working at the age of 80. He loved working in the garden and working with his hands. He enjoyed many vacations with his family. Also he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife, children: Ingrid, Dieter (Kathy), Ron, Torsten (Becky), 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one brother Gerhard (Waltraud). Preceded in death by one brother Helmuth and one grandson Jonathan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2004, 12 noon, at the Crescent 20th Ward, 1245 E. 11000 So. A viewing will be held Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So. and one hour prior to the service at the ward. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
