BOUNTIFUL<! > - Clifford Archie Rich, age 78, our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away in his sleep on the morning of Sat., March 27, 2004 in Bountiful, Utah.
He was born to Francis and Esther Helena Johnston Rich, April 19, 1926 in Plymouth, Kansas. They eventually relocated to Aberdeen, ID. After meeting and marrying his beloved wife, Eileen Simonson Rich (later sealed in the Jordan LDS Temple), they settled in Salt Lake City. They moved to Bountiful in 1954 where they raised their two daughters and one son. Clifford was an active member of the LDS Church. He served honorably in the Merchant Marines and the Navy Submarine Service. He then went on to pursue a career as a special agent and CPA in the Internal Revenue Service. Clifford was an avid adventurer who was a ski patrolman for many years and enjoyed time spent with his family, skiing, boating, flying and many other outdoor activities.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; his three children, Lynette Frank; Kathi and (Jay R. Bangerter), and Greg Rich; his brother, Lenard and (Betty Rich); 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He will be missed and always loved.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bountiful 53rd Ward Chapel, 1356 North 650 East. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday morning from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
