ROOSEVELTDUCHESNE COUNTY<! > - Chris Harold Denver, age 47, died on March 28, 2004 in Roosevelt of heart failure.
Born August 7, 1956 in Roosevelt to Charles "Smiley' Howard and Margo Linck Denver.
Chris grew up in Roosevelt. He graduated from Union High School in 1975. He attended University of Utah. He served a Mission for the LDS Church in Nauvoo, Illinois. Chris met and married his sweetheart Susan Slaugh, August 19, 1988 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked at Ute Distribution as the Accountant/
Treasurer, was a Domestic Elk Rancher, and Manager of Water Disposal, Inc. He was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings. Chris will be remembered for his handsome looks, kindness, and generosity. He was a good listener and always willing to help those in need. He was a great father and husband. He loved to have fun with his family and friends and was always planning activities to go new places. He enjoyed many outdoor activities and loved all sports. He was the announcer at the Union High School Basketball Activities. Go Cougars! He was a hard worker and always strove for excellence.
Survived by his wife, Susan Slaugh Denver, children Dakota Cade and Cheyenne Zemrie; parents, Smiley and Margo Denver; brother, Lance Charles (Sue Lynn) Denver; sisters, Terri Lyn Stevenson, Melinda Sue (Lance) Neilson, Charlie Denver, all of Roosevelt; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Elmer Denver, Jr., William Linck, and Thelma Linck.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roosevelt 11th Ward, 250 W. 200 N. Friends may call Tuesday, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, and from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
