In response to Robert Grant who stated that gays aren't life-affirming because to affirm life means to pass it along and gays and lesbians can't have children.

Two things: First, the definition of "affirm" is to confirm that something asserted is true. As far as I know, life is indeed true. Secondly, gays and lesbians can and do have children all the time, either themselves or with the kind help of others. We conceive them, some of us carry them, and we raise them. My partner, pregnant with our second child, would be very interested to know she "can't" have children!
