Actress Jan Broberg Felt, who played Sariah in "The Book of Mormon Movie" and stars in the television series "Everwood," had another near run-in with the man who kidnapped her as a child.

The man was booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility after allegedly running down and pointing a gun at a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse, which had been called in to protect her. He was later released after posting bail.

Broberg Felt recently published a book, "Stolen Innocence: The Jan Broberg Story," detailing the kidnappings, which occurred in Pocatello. After the book was published with pictures of her abductor, the man began e-mailing the Web site www.stoleninnocence

book. com, threatening Broberg Felt and her mom, who helped write the book, Broberg said.

Saturday, she was the keynote speaker the Dixie College's annual Women's Conference.

Some 15 members of BACA escorted Broberg Felt to the conference after the former kidnapper had allegedly warned Dixie College against allowing Broberg Felt to speak.

About 10:30 a.m. the man drove a minivan to the conference and asked members of BACA to distribute literature for him, BACA member Les Watson said. When Watson refused and instead told other BACA members to call police, Watson said the driver revved his engine and ran him over. Watson, who said he clung to the hood of the moving van for about 100 feet until the driver pulled a gun and Watson jumped from the moving vehicle, was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center with back and leg injuries.

Broberg Felt said the incident frightens her.

"Of course I'm scared. I have children," she said. "I'm scared, but I'm not laying (sic) down to die. I'm not defeated."
