1922 ~ 2004

Naomi Helen Archibald Wilding Ipson, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the Crosslands Rehabilitation Center in Sandy, Utah.

She was born September 3, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the 4th child of David John Archibald and Mary Jensen Archibald.

Naomi suffered for many years with many extreme health issues, miraculously enduring them while retaining a cheerful spirit throughout these difficult times. She died a faithful devoted member of the LDS church. She had experienced "a mighty change of heart" in her latter years, which sustained her through her most difficult times. Her family, the Gospel, the temple, and her many friends gave her life meaning, purpose, and direction. Her great determination and grateful heart carried her through her trials and valiantly delivered her into the next world. "I Need Thee Every Hour" was her theme. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Kent Wilding, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Craig Wilding (Susan) Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; also a brother, Dave Archibald, and two sisters, Lillian Tschetter and Diane Severinsen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Laura Duffy, and a brother, Dick Archibald.

The family gives a special thanks to the members of the Union Park 1st Ward and all of Naomi's other special friends for their many years of Christ-like service and care on her behalf.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 10th, 2004 at the Union Park 1st Ward Chapel, 7699 S. Chad Street, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held that same day prior to the service from 10:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, where interment will take place.
