Elder Perry to throw first pitch

BOSTON, Mass. — Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve will throw out the first pitch of the Boston Red Sox baseball game May 8 at 1 p.m. Elder Perry became a Red Sox fan after living in Boston prior to his call as a General Authority in 1974. He is believed to be the first member of the Twelve to throw out the first pitch in a Major League game.
