Alpine Scenic Loop: Twenty-four miles of paved, narrow road takes you from the mouth of American Fork Canyon, over the Alpine Loop Road and joins U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon. Along the way, you pass numerous campgrounds and picnic areas, as well as Timpanogos Cave National Monument and Visitors Center, views of Mount Timpanogos, spectacular foliage in the fall and Sundance Ski and Summer Resort.

Cascade Springs Scenic Highway: As a side trip off the Alpine Scenic Loop, these 7.5 miles of paved road lead to the Cascade Springs Interpretive site. The main attraction at the site is the large spring cascading down the mountain slope into a series of limestone terraces and pools. There are several trout in the pools. (Fishing is not permitted.) An interpretive signed boardwalk winds through the area, giving visitors an opportunity to view wildlife, vegetation and learn about the history of the area.

Nebo Loop National Scenic Byway: A photographer's dream, this route offers 32 paved miles of rugged mountain beauty and several magnificent overlooks of the surrounding valleys. Visitors can access this spectacular drive from Payson or Nephi Canyon near the city of Nephi. The loop includes Payson Lakes Campground and recreation area, Blackhawk Campground with a horseman's loop and Devils' Kitchen geologic interest area. This geological site has three picnic tables and a paved, 100-foot, universally accessible path with interpretive signs leading to the overlook.

Strawberry Reservoir Recreation Area: One of Utah's premier fishing reservoirs, Strawberry Reservoir totals 17,160 surface acres and is located 23 miles southeast of Heber City on U.S. 40. Recreation facilities include four campgrounds, five day-use areas, four picnic sites, four paved boat ramps and two full-service marinas at Strawberry Bay and Soldier Creek recreation sites. At Haws Point, a universally accessible fishing pier provides access for all visitors.
