Lorna (Lona) Fern Fisher McKendrick of Phoenix, Arizona, cherished wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend.

Born, December 1, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leonidas (Lon) Fisher and Lolla Barton Fisher. Passed away peacefully, May 2, 2004 from causes incident to age.

Married Wilford Wilson (Bob) McKendrick August 19, 1931, who died November 25, 1981 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was an executive of United Artists Motion Picture Corp.

Lona was a beautiful, gentle, kind and caring lady, who spent much of her time doing volunteer work for the LDS Church. She loved tending her gardens and her home was a show case. The Tribune Christmas Lighting Decoration contest for 1968, named her home as the winner. Mother was devoted to her family and friends. She was a gracious hostess who loved to entertain.

Surviving her: Lolla McKendrick (daughter), Phoenix, AZ; Robyn McKendrick Barr (daughter), Phoenix, AZ; Robert M. Barr (son-in-law), Phoenix, AZ; George E. Littley, (brother-in-law), Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Robb Barr, Phoenix, AZ; Alisa R. Smith, Shawn E. Rosenvall, Salt Lake City and Lon Rosenvall, Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren, Krystal A. Smith, Charei, Spencer, Gavin, Caelei and Cierstei Rosenvall, all of Salt Lake City, UT.

Entombment will be Saturday, May 8, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mausoleum, 2350 E. 1300 So., Salt Lake City, Utah.
