Salt Lake City<! > - Michael J. Cook, age 51 died July 7th at St. Mark's Hospital from multiple complications of anti-biotic resistant infections.

He was born January 6, 1953 in San Francisco, CA, a son of Bayliss Herschal Cook (deceased), and Maxine Hansen Cook. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Clark Cook, and three children: Michael Cook, CA, Rachel Cook, CA, and Gabriel (Tina) Cook, CA, and four siblings, Ben Cook, Salt Lake, Steve (Pat) Cook, Kanab, Anne (Hal) Millett, Provo, Sharon (Seth) Cooke, Utah, Joyce Dickman (divorced), and his mother Maxine Cook.

He was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. He served a mission for his church in Uruguay-Paraguay in 1972-74.

A favorite Book of Mormon scripture is Mosiah 3:19.

He completed a computer course at Snow College, Ephraim, Utah, where he met his wife, Barbara.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Salt Lake Grant Stake Center, 3153 South 900 East, SLC, UT. A viewing will be held Sunday, July 11th from 5-7 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr. and also on Monday 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to the service.
