Anna Beth Farr, 73, died Saturday, August 14, 2004.
She was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Milton, Utah, to Jeanette Mecham Wade and George Wade. She spent most of
her childhood and her early adulthood in Utah, and married John R. Farr on March 17, 1949. She moved to Long Beach, CA, in 1957, and lived in Dana Point, CA from 1963 until her death.
Anna Beth was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. She was involved in scouting, Primary, church history research, and the stake Relief Society presidency, as well as serving as the bishop's secretary. During her school years, she enjoyed participating in school plays and various social activities. Later in life, her favorite pastimes included skiing, gardening, reading and traveling. She was always happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her numerous grandchildren.
Anna Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanette Mecham Wade and George Wade; her husband, Dr. John R. Farr, her brother, Dean Wade; and her granddaughter, Anna Patterson. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Rhine, brothers Blaine Wade and Robert Wade; daughters Lisa Brown and Kristina Patterson; sons, John Farr, Mike Farr and Eric Farr; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Anna Beth will be sorely missed by her friends, family and all those who thought of her as a second mother.
A graveside service will be held at the Ogden City Cemetery at 11 a.m., Monday, August 23.
