Question: "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a great movie that will stay in my memory forever. I'm wondering about the young actress who played Gregory Peck's daughter, Scout. What has become of her in real life? Who was the narrator of the movie? Thanks!

Answer: Kim Stanley provided the narration of Scout as an adult. And Scout was played wonderfully by Mary Badham. She did very little acting after that. She appeared in two 1966 movies, "Let's Kill Daddy" and "This Property Is Condemned." On TV she appeared in a 1963 episode of "Dr. Kildare" and a 1964 episode of "The Twilight Zone." She will appear again in "Our Very Own," a movie set for release next year that stars Keith Carradine and Allison Janney. In real life, she's the sister of John Badham, who directed "Stakeout," "WarGames" and "Blue Thunder," among other movies.

Question: I saw a movie with James Garner in it, I think. It is named "Homps." It's about a cavalry unit that has camels. I'm having trouble finding it. I believe it is a Disney movie. Is it on video?

Answer: Actually, the movie is called "Hawmps!," it doesn't have James Garner in it, and how entertaining you will find it depends on how funny you find the idea of guys riding camels. It was released in 1976. It stars James Hampton and Christopher Connelly, and it's on video.

Answer: Faux, oui, mon ami. The episode, "Waterworks," aired in 1988, and Josh Pais played the white plumber.

They put his body on a small sailboat, set it adrift and then shoot an arrow into the sail just as the parents arrive to watch. I know you can help me. I would like to give this to my children, so I want to know if it's available on video or DVD.

Answer: Hey, always ready to help folks plan the old funeral! The movie is "Rocket Gibraltar," and it also stars Macaulay Culken, Kevin Spacey and Patricia Clarkson. And it's on video and DVD.

Answer: They were both widowers because in those days on TV divorced people didn't exist, much less divorced people with children.
