Jane Withers Hardcastle, 96, passed away on Sept. 15, 2004 of natural causes. She is now at peace and has joined her eternal companion.

She was born and raised in Riverton, Utah to Richard and Sarah Winter Withers July 15, 1908. She married Alma Glen Hardcastle on Oct. 22, 1924. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jane was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Her care and concern for others was one of her special gifts. She always maintained an immaculate home, always making others feel welcome. Jane spent her life working very hard raising five children and working with her husband. In her later years, she worked at Brady's Bakery and at the Salt Lake County Health Department. She used her talents of cooking, sewing and gardening to serve others. She made many kinds of handiwork, which her family will always treasure.

Jane held various positions in the LDS Church. Her favorite being temple service with her husband in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and later in the Jordan River Temple.

Her greatest love in life was her husband and her family. <! >

She is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Cliff) Reid, Sandy; Mrs. Marjorie (Chalres) Boynton, St. George; two sons, A. Leon (Alice) Hardcastle, Preston, Idaho; Donald (Pauleen) Hardcastle, Sandy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her

spouse, A. Glen; a son, William; parents; five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Friday 6:30-8:00 p.m. or Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
