1940 ~ 2004

Paul Frank Weston, 64, passed away September 1, 2004, surrounded by his wife and children following a courageous fight with cancer.

Born May 3, 1940 to Frank and June Weston in Montpelier, Idaho. The oldest of four boys, Paul was raised on a farm in Meadowville, Utah near Bear Lake. At a young age he learned the value of responsibility and hard work, which he maintained throughout his life. Following high school, he moved to Salt Lake where he won the heart of Claudia Williamson. The couple married on May 26, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. He owned and operated his own service station in Granger for over 40 years. A dedicated LDS church member he enjoyed teaching, discussing gospel topics, and "livening up" quorum meetings. He coached the Young Men's softball team for over 25 years, earning the respect and hearts of many young men. He loved sports, family vacations, water skiing, Bear Lake, bowling, reading, and could not be beat in chess. Paul created lasting relationships and influenced people of all walks of life, his sincerity, sense of humor, and huge heart made him a friend to all.

Survived by loving wife, Claudia; children, Richard (Melissa), Mark (Holly), Bret, Maridee, Don (Kim), and Raul (Kami); nine grandchildren; parents Frank and June Weston; brothers Theron (LaRae) and Daniel (Laurel). Preceded in death by his brother, Jay (Joelyn).

A viewing will be held at the ward on Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. All services will be held at the Mt. Olympus North LDS church, 3610 E. 3510 S. Burial services, Montpelier Idaho cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
