Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:

Craig Alan Burtenshaw, 56; Ucon 4th Ward, Ucon Idaho Stake; high councilor in the BYU-Idaho 5th Stake; former stake president, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, teacher development coordinator and missionary in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission. Dentist. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clyde Alan and Velma Rozella Ferguson Burtenshaw. Married Karma Sellers, six children.

A family history missionary, Sister Burtenshaw is a former ward Young Women president and counselor, Young Women camp director, family history consultant and Cub Scout leader. Born in Rigby, Idaho, to Heber Allen and Lula Wanda Frandsen Sellers.

Ronald Emmett Dalene, 50; Juarez 1st Ward, Colonia Juarez Mexico Stake; bishop; former temple ordinance worker, high councilor, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Japan Sendai Mission. Owner and manager of Rancho La Mesa. Born in Cody, Wyo., to Marion Leroy and Sandra Joyce Emmett Dalene. Married Holly Mayberry (deceased), two children. Later married Joyce Lynette Brown.

A Relief Society teacher, Sister Dalene is a former stake Young Women president, ward Primary president, Young Women adviser, Primary teacher and chorister. Born in Colonia Juarez, Mexico, to David Samuel and Ellis Whetten Brown.

Kevin Read Duncan, 44; La Dehesa Ward, Santiago Chile Las Condes Stake; Church Service missionary; former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, ward executive secretary, ward mission leader and missionary in the Chile Santiago South Mission. President, CEO and founder of CaseData Corporation. Born in Ogden, Utah, to David Henry and LaRene Eliza Read Cook. Married Wendy Wallentine (deceased), one child. Later married Nancy Elizabeth Smart, four children.

A Primary teacher and Church Service missionary, Sister Duncan is a former ward Primary president and counselor, Sunday School teacher, Achievement Day leader and Young Women adviser. Born in Bountiful, Utah, to Grant Winters and Mary Lucille Hulme Smart.

Dean C Edwards, 57; Heber 9th Ward, Heber City Utah North Stake; associate director of Heber Valley Young Women's Camp; former stake president, stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the East Central States Mission. Executive vice president of Heber Valley National Bank. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Edward William and Maude Estella Munsee Edwards. Married Lana Argyle, five children.

A ward newsletter editor, Sister Edwards is a former counselor in stake and ward Primary presidencies, ward Relief Society president, Young Women adviser and Sunday School teacher. Born in Provo, Utah, to Lynn A. and Beth Eliza Barton Argyle.

Danilo Augusto Paredes Onate, 49; Caurimare Ward, Caracas Venezuela Palo Verde Stake; counselor in the bishopric; former counselor in a mission presidency, stake president, bishop and Sunday School teacher. Randall Leon Ridd, 54; Holladay 14th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake; counselor in the stake Young Men presidency; former counselor in a stake presidency, counselor in a bishopric, ward Young Men president and counselor and missionary in the Mexico Mission. President of Golder Corporation. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leon and Lucille Golder Ridd. Married Tamina Roark, four children.

Sister Ridd is a former ward Young Women president and counselor, counselor in ward Relief Society and Primary presidencies and Relief Society teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Martin Gross and Leta Dalton Roark.

A Sunday School teacher, Sister Yokoyama is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, seminary teacher and missionary in the Northern Far East Mission. Born in Tokyo, Japan, to Haruji and Yamaguchi Sute Okawa.
