Obituary: George Willie Woolfolk

George Willie Woolfolk 1957 ~ 2005 George Willie Woolfolk, age 47, passed away October 13, 2005 in Salt Lake City, the result of an industrial accident. Born December 16, 1957 in New Haven, CT a son of George and Mildred Hodge Woolfolk. Graduated from Hamden High School in 1976. Served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Attended Ricks College and BYU, where he graduated in Business Management. Worked at UPS for many years. Member of the LDS Church for 25 years; he was one of the first African-Americans to receive the Priesthood and, in 1979, served in the California Sacramento Mission. He enjoyed serving others and spending time with his many friends. Survived by his father, Macon, GA; brothers, John and Roger Woolfolk; sister, Diana Woolfolk; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Mildred. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2005, 7:30 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends and family may visit, 6-7:30 p.m. Interment, New Haven, CT.
