Byron Clyde Edwards, Jr. 1978 ~ 2005 Byron Clyde Edwards, Jr., age 26, was unexpectedly called home to that loving Heavenly Father who gave him life, October 21, 2005. He was born October 27, 1978 to Byron Clyde, Sr. and Dee Ann Snyder Edwards. Byron attended school in Orem graduating from Mountain View High School and Utah Valley State College. He majored in Business Administration at UVSC and was scheduled to attend formal graduation this December. At the time of his passing, Byron was working as an Investment Consultant for Paragon Capital Management. Byron was actively involved as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed serving in the Elders Quorum presidency and most recently in the Young Men's presidency. Byron loved working with the youth of the American Fork 17th Ward. He served a faithful mission in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he met and cemented many great relationships. Byron was married and sealed for time and all eternity to Katie Young of Orem, August 8, 2002 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. They were recently blessed with the birth of their first child and daughter, Kali. Byron was excited with his new transition to fatherhood and was looking forward with Katie to raising a family and enjoying life together. Byron loved life and shared its richness with many, many friends and family members. Future trips to the cabin, Lake Powell, sand dunes, and other places will certainly bring moments of silent reflection; for Byron was an integral part of our lives and he will be missed. Although his time with us was shortened, we take comfort in knowing that we will one day be together as a family again (and kick his butt for missing the Broncos-Eagles game with us next weekend). Byron is survived by his wife, Katie; daughter, Kali; parents, Byron and Dee Ann Edwards; siblings, Melissa, Chad, Tyler, and Taylor; grandparents, Clyde and Karen Edwards, and Mickey and Jo Ann Snyder; great-grandmother, Mildred Zabriskie Silva; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Cathy Young; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25th at the Lindon West Stake Center, 1030 West 1600 North, Orem, 11 a.m. Friends may call Monday, October 24th from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, and at 9:45-10:45 a.m. October 25th prior to the funeral at the stake center. Interment will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Zion's Bank Donation Account established in the name of Katie Edwards (462 West 800 North, Orem, UT 84057). Condolences may be sent to the family at www.walkerfamilymortuaries.com
