Beth Selman Cannon 06/30/51 ~ 10/01/05 Beth Selman Cannon, died on her 84th birthday, October 1, 2005 due to incidence of age. She was surrounded by loving family at the time of her passing. She was born the daughter of Royal Richmond and Rebecca Olsen Selman on the family farm in Benjamin, Utah. She married Blaine Kenneth Cannon, June 30, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beth was the family matriarch and was the glue that held the family ties in place. She generously loved all her family and friends and touched the hearts of many with her kindness. She loved doing outdoor activities with her husband and her pet dog, Tuffy, such as fishing, camping, rock hunting and gardening. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by: her husband of Payson; a daughter and two sons, Rebecca (Lynn) Evans, Portland, Oregon; Gary (Annette) Cannon, Payson; Robert (BeckyJo) Cannon, Provo; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers, Barbara (George) James, Provo; Bud (Helen) Selman, Salem; Dorothy Spainhower, North Salt Lake; Joan (Ray) VanLeuuwen, Mt. Pleasant; Patsy (Larry) Mullins, Provo; MaryLee (Garth) Boswell, Goshen; Georgia (Blaine) Boyer, Lindon; Frank (Pat) Selman, Phoenix, Arizona; and a sister-in-law, Patty Selman, of Provo. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Richard; sisters, Jerri and LaRae. Services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2005, 11:00 a.m. in the Payson West Stake Center, 780 West 500 South. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. or at the church Wednesday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. The family would like would like to express special appreciation to Hospice of Utah, especially Maryan, Amanda, Cathy, Mary, Gaylen, Alan and Cleston and to Jason and the nurses and aides at Payson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care.
