Dustin Hensel, a 6-foot-7, 310-pound offensive lineman from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif., is the 10th early recruiting commitment to the Utah football program.
Hensel, who will likely be a tackle for the Utes, had minor knee surgery in the offseason and is redshirting for Golden West this fall. A sophomore in eligibility, Hensel will have three years to play three seasons. The midyear transfer is expected to participate in spring ball.
Utah's next recruiting class also includes early commitments from nine high school players, who are expected to sign national letters-of-intents in February. The newcomers include: Neli A'asa (Michigan), Nick Binks (Bountiful), Whitley Fehoko (Hawaii), Pauli Latu (Hunter), Mike Muehlmann (American Fork), Mookie Murphy (Juan Diego), Tony Smith (Pleasanton, Calif.), Zane Taylor (Grand) and Tereunga "Bubba" Tuinei (Cottonwood).
