Olympians to host bobsled-building class

Children are invited to help Olympians and Paralympians build a wooden toy bobsled in celebration of the upcoming 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy, at workshops in Salt Lake City and Park City.

Both workshops, for children ages 5 to 12, are Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Paralympic alpine skier Monte Meier, Olympic freestyle aerial skier Jeret Peterson and Olympic freestyle moguls skier Jillian Vogtli will be at the Park City workshop at the Home Depot, 1595 E. Frontage Road.

The Salt Lake workshop will feature 2002 moguls silver medalist Shannon Bahrke at Home Depot, 328 W. 2100 South. The store will provide supplies, tools and training.
