"Plan 10 from Outer Space," local filmmaker Trent Harris' broad sci-fi spoof of Mormons and Utah culture, returns for special events tonight and Saturday to celebrate the film's 10th anniversary and commemorate its upcoming DVD release.
Harris will screen the film tonight at 9:30 p.m. at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, and will be on hand to answer questions. The night's festivities also include a costume contest and a special appearance by "Aho the Alien," one of the film's extraterrestrial characters.
Saturday at 7 p.m., Harris will appear at Ken Sanders Rare Books, 268 S. 200 East, which is hosting the film's official DVD release party.
