Obituary: Gary Anker Petersen

Gary Anker Petersen 1937 ~ 2005 PROVO, UT- Gary A. Petersen, beloved father, passed away of natural causes Sunday, December 11, 2005 in Provo, Utah. He was 68. He was born March 18, 1937 in Eureka, Utah to Anker Hyrum Petersen and Maxine Warr, growing up primarily in Springville, Utah. He is survived by his four loving sons, Scott Petersen (Seattle, WA), Randy Petersen (Seattle, WA), Jeff Petersen (Provo, UT), and Roger Petersen (Centerville, UT); along with nine wonderful grandchildren. Formerly married to Kathy Erdman, he spent the majority of his married life in Kaysville, Utah. He was preceded in death by his beloved younger brother Dennis William Petersen (of Springville, UT). Gary was known for his wonderful smile. He loved spending time with his boys and other family members and relatives. He enjoyed the great outdoors, movies, and rubbing shoulders with humanity. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, and retired from the U.S. Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary Drawing Room Chapel, 185 E. Center Street, Provo, Utah.
