The Mexican immigrant deserves credit for the valuable service he provides. His labor keeps the cost of goods and services down and allows the consumer to use the saved dollars to demand even more goods and services. The money the Mexican immigrant sends to Mexico — money he earned and can do with as he pleases — comes back in the demand for cars, computers and food.
As Americans become increasingly uneasy with perceived profiteering in our economy, the Mexican immigrant should appear as a welcome sight. He should appear as the honest, efficient worker that he is. His is a standard all Americans should emulate.
