EDMONTON, Alberta — The Grizzlies played the role of Wile E. Coyote Saturday afternoon, dropping their 11th straight road game and their fourth game of the season to the Edmonton Road Runners, 4-1.

Utah finally got on the board vs. the Road Runners early in the first period on the power play. Brad Winchester was called for a cross check just five seconds into the period, and the Grizzlies capitalized with Keith Ballard's one-timer getting redirected by Peter White for his 10th goal of the season, assisted by Ballard and Terry Virtue.

Edmonton outshot the Grizzlies 8-6 in the period as David LeNeveu was perfect in the first 20 minutes. Jamie Wright was whistled for a high-sticking major late in the period, giving Utah a five-minute major power play that carried over into the second period.

The Grizzlies couldn't get anything going on the major power play and were forced to nurse their one-goal lead after the major penalty expired. Edmonton tied the game in the period at the 9:06 mark when Kyle Brodziak knocked a rebound by LeNeveu for his third goal of the season assisted by Mathieu Roy and Nate DiCasmirro. Utah outshot the Road Runners 11-7 in the period, but for the third straight game the teams went into the second intermission tied.

The third period belonged to the Road Runners, who scored three times, beginning with Toby Petersen's second goal in as many nights and his eighth of the season. Brodziak increased the lead with his second goal of the game and fourth of the season at the 10:52 mark. Raffi Torres added an empty-net goal to finish off the Grizzlies.
