The Better Business Bureau of Utah said Tuesday it has started offering a new type of membership program for consumers.
The BBB Consumer Club program will provide Internet-based information services that consumers can access from a home computer. One product included in the list of information services is access to the monthly electronic newsletter "The Wise Consumer," which is produced by the Council of Better Business Bureaus.
The cost to join is $25 per year. Membership proceeds will go to the Better Business Bureau of Utah Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization that promotes character education in Utah schools and consumer education and business ethics education in the marketplace.
Consumers can become members of the BBB Consumer Club by visiting www.utah.bbb.org Clicking on the "Consumer Club" tab will provide an overview, and a second tab will provide instructions for joining.
