Central Telecom Services LLC, based in Fairview, Sanpete County, has closed on an agreement with Precis Communications LLC to acquire a cable television system in Sanpete and Sevier counties for approximately $3.7 million.
Central Telecom is a subsidiary of New York-based Lynch Interactive Corp. With the addition of the 2,500 cable subscribers, Lynch Interactive will expand its cable services to more than 6,100 customers.
Central Telecom and its affiliates, including Central Utah Telephone Co., offer Internet and telephone services.

Lynch also said it will be "going dark" by deregistering with the Securities and Exchange Commission and being quoted on the "bulletin board" instead of a securities exchange.
