Allen Iverson was fined $10,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for a heated exchange the Philadelphia guard had with an official following the 76ers' loss to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Iverson, upset about calls, challenged referee Marc Davis after the 94-88 loss. Iverson had to be restrained by teammates, and a few minutes later was seen heading in the direction of the referees' dressing room before general manager Billy King interceded and calmed him down.

At practice on Monday, Iverson said he expected to be fined or suspended for his comments to Davis.

"From the history of it, I suspect something will happen to me," said Iverson, who did not practice with the team because of a thumb injury. "I would not be surprised if they decide I was wrong and should be punished."

TURKOGLU OUT: Orlando Magic swingman Hedo Turkoglu will miss the rest of the season after fracturing his left wrist, the team said after an examination by team doctors Tuesday. Turkoglu was driving to the basket when he got tangled and went down late in Monday's game at Charlotte. Recovery time is estimated to be six to eight weeks.

The 6-foot-10 Turkoglu was averaging 14 points and 3.5 rebounds in 67 games this season. The injury robs the Magic of their top 3-point shooter (.380).

The injury will likely mean more playing time for Pat Garrity, the team's other main 3-point threat. Garrity is averaging just 4.5 points.

Turkoglu signed as a free agent in the offseason after three years with Sacramento and one with San Antonio.

Laettner is having his second bout with plantar fasciitis — an inflammation along the arch of the foot. He spent nine games on the injured list earlier this season with the same ailment on his left foot.

In 44 games this season, Laettner is averaging 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 15.2 minutes.

Wang missed the last six games with an upper respiratory infection. He is averaging 2.2 points in 17 games with the Heat this season.
