PROVO — Tahitian Noni International said Tuesday it has opened a new manufacturing and processing plant in Tahiti.
The 85,000-square-foot plant cost more than $21 million, the company said.
The company produces Tahitian Noni Juice, and it said the new plant, the largest single-roofed facility in Tahiti, can process more than twice the amount of noni fruit than the previous plant. More than 1,000 families harvest the fruit in more than 80 French Polynesian islands, and the facility will have about 50 employees.
