Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Mission presidents' assignments were announced in the Feb. 26, 2005, issue of the Church News.

Dennis Creed Brimhall, 56; Kentucky Louisville Mission; Centennial Ward, Denver Colorado Stake; stake president; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, elders quorum president, Scoutmaster and missionary in the New Zealand Auckland Mission. President and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital. Born in Provo, Utah, to Delbert Creed and Elinor Brockbank Brimhall. Married Linda Christensen, four children.

A gospel doctrine teacher, Sister Brimhall is a former regional public affairs director, ward Primary president, counselor in ward Relief Soceity and Young Women presidencies and institute instructor. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Owen Mauss and Louise Nebeker Christensen.

Thomas Robert Coleman, 58; Guatemala Guatemala City North Mission; Manhattan 1st Ward, Salina Kansas Stake; seminary teacher; former stake president and counselor, bishop, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Andes South Mission. Clinical psychologist. Born in Bismarck, N.D., to Alfred Borde and Desa Ruth Smith Coleman. Married Carolyn Hyer, seven children.

The ward Relief Society president, Sister Coleman is a former stake Relief Society secretary, ward Young Women and Primary president, visiting teaching coordinator and seminary teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Grant Kenneth and Lois Allred Hyer.

Reece Randall Huff, 64; California Sacramento Mission; Pasadena 2nd Ward, Pasadena California Stake; Area Seventy; former stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Uruguayan Mission. Retired attorney. Born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Reece Thorn and Ora Marie Johnson Huff. Married Kay Whiteley Taylor, eight children.

A counselor in the ward Young Women presidency, Sister Huff is a former ward Young Women president, counselor in stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, Relief Society teacher and Young Women adviser. Born in Portland, Ore., to George Whittaker and Helen Amanda Whiteley Taylor.

William Wallace Maycock, 52; Democratic Republic of Congo Kinshasa Mission; Glenridge Ward, Atlanta Georgia Stake; former counselor in a mission presidency, stake president and counselor, bishop and missionary in the Belgium Brussels Mission. Attorney. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Richard Walden and Mary Elisa Skye Maycock. Married Sylvia Kay Harden, four children.

A visiting teaching coordinator, Sister Maycock is a former ward Primary president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, Young Women adviser, Sunday School teacher and Cub Scout leader. Born in Quitman, Ga., to Clyde Lang and Edna Elizabeth Ball Harden.

Asao Miyashita, 64; Japan Sendai Mission; Abiko Ward, Abiko Japan Stake; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, high priests group leader and missionary in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. Retired from Nitto Material Co. Born in Shizuoka, Japan, to Masa and Fumie Imamura Miyashita. Married Kumiko Yoshida, one child.

Sister Miyashita is a former stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, Primary teacher and missionary in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. Born in Hotu, Japan, to Shigeo and Kei Tsuboi Yoshida.

Kevin Wayne Pearson, 48; Washington Tacoma Mission; Federal Heights Ward, Salt Lake Emigration Stake; bishop; former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Finland Helsinki Mission. CEO of Ingenix. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wayne Franklin and Velda Labrum Pearson. Married June Langeland, six children.

A Relief Society teacher, Sister Pearson is a former counselor in a ward Primary presidency, Young Women adviser, activities committee member, gospel doctrine teacher and Cub Scout leader. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John and Edna Fluge Langeland.
