Obituary: Winona Clara Parker Erickson

Winona Clara Parker Erickson 07/23/21 ~ 05/09/05 Our beloved mother and grandmother, with a heart as big as the world, passed away May 9, 2005. She was born July 23, 1921 in Payson, UT to William John and Martha Leprial Merritt Parker. She married her sweetheart, Floyd Edwin Erickson Nov. 15, 1940. Winona worked for many years as a dietician for the VA Hospital. She loved the boat races, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She touched everyone's life she came in contact with. Winona also gave unconditionally, and touched many people with her bright spirit. She also gave them heck when they deserved it. Very special thanks to Rebecca and Chris for their tender loving care. Survived by her son, Jerry (Gayle) Erickson; daughter, Judy Whipple; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grand-children; three great great-grand-children. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2005, 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 12th and one hour prior to services Friday. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
