Dateline (7 p.m., Ch. 5): A report on dangerous roads.

The Simpsons (7 and 7:30 p.m., Ch. 13): The season ends with a pair of first-run episodes. First, Ned Flanders moves away and Homer has to beg him to come back. Then it's the episode Fox postponed because of the death of the pope — and with good reason. Catholic jokes abound in an episode titled "The Father, the Son and the Holy Guest Star," as Bart is sent to Catholic school, is befriended by a priest (Liam Neeson) and decides to join the faith. Of course, there are plenty of jokes about Protestants, Jews and people in general, too.

Charmed (7 p.m., Ch. 30): A classmate is brutally killed in front of Phoebe and comes back from the dead to blame her.

King Tut's Final Secrets (7 p.m., National Geographic Channel): New technology is applied to previous finds.

Desperate Housewives (8 p.m., Ch. 4): Susan reunites with Mike; Gabrielle leaves Carlos; Rex has a health crisis.
