Jeremy Donya Thomas 1989 ~ 2005 Jeremy Donya Thomas, 15, died in a car accident Wednesday, April 27, 2005, one day before his sixteenth birthday. Jeremy was born in Heidelberg, Germany on April 28, 1989, he has lived in Port Townsend, Washington; Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; and then Salt Lake City - Murray areas. He was a tenth-grade student at Creekside High School. Jeremy was a handsome, well-liked young man of wholesome personality. He liked sports, particularly basketball. He was helpful, polite, and respectful of his elders and others. He had just completed his driver's education. He was about to be ordained a priest in the Aaronic Priesthood of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, into which he had been baptized three months ago. Taken at the prime of his young life, his death is a tragedy and a serious loss to his family, his friends, and the world. He is survived by his mother, Zan L. Thomas; sister, Jazmine L. Thomas, both of Murray, Utah; father SFC James R. Thomas of Fort Hood, Texas; grandparents, Frank and Loana Anderson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandmother Ethel Lois Britt Thomas, Las Vegas, Nevada; grandfather, Lee Willie Thomas, Sr., Lawton, Oklahoma; great-grandmother, Mary Barrowes, Salt Lake City; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His family wishes to thank all of the people who have called, visited, brought food and offered emotional support in this unfortunate situation. Funeral services for Jeremy will be held on Monday May 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the South Cottonwood Stake Center, 1250 East 4800 South, where friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
