1959 vs. 2005 — South Davis Junior High School, 298 W. 2600 South, Bountiful, was new 46 years ago. There wasn't even lawn there yet. Principal E. Lamar Parkin greeted a faculty of 28 and some 700 students in 22 classes when the school first opened on Aug. 31, 1959. Today the "Home of the Spartans" has almost 1,000 students. The facility has expanded over the years.
