Many people currently allege that religious conservatives want to create a theocracy — as opposed to religious liberals such as Jesse Jackson. Yet I personally know of no conservative who desires any such thing. They merely don't appreciate being censored from public discourse because of their religious beliefs.

Unfortunately left-wing intelligentsia (university and media) routinely provide liberal organizations a free pass from investigative criticism. Therefore, "atheocracy" remains a far greater threat to religious pluralism in the United States than any form of theocracy.
