Genevieve Caldwell Leavitt 09/12/24 ~ 06/17/05 Genevieve Caldwell Leavitt passed away on June 17, 2005. Genevieve was born on Sept. 12, 1924 in St. John (Rush Valley), Tooele, Utah. She married Don L. Leavitt on January 16, 1944. She worked as a Secretary at Hill Air Force Base for 27 years. For over 30 years she loved to Square Dance with her husband in which they would travel to Canada, Mexico, and many places here in the U.S. Through the years she would prepare meals for Family Gatherings and Holidays, (Most of all for the tailgates at the U of U football games). She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Don Leavitt, son Dennis (Ardith) Leavitt, Sandy, Utah, daughter Marsha (John) Enochs, Vaughn, Montana, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, her brother Sherian Caldwell and sister Dorothy Caldwell Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandson Bryson Tanner Zeltner, two brothers Pete and Reid Caldwell, and sister LaPreal Nelson. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. We would like to express our Love and Thanks to the staff at the Murray Care Center for the loving care they gave to her during her short stay. Funeral services Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Murraydale Ward Chapel, 6300 So. 300 East. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. and Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine.
