Those who want to mix religion and science together in our schools' science programs should keep in mind science is based upon testing ideas regarding observed physical evidence. A scientist must always be ready to accept the results, even if it disproves the proposed hypothesis. Those who want to bring religion into the classroom must be ready to accept debate and accept the possibility that their religious beliefs are wrong within the context of scientific discourse.

Once the culture wars are unleashed, do we then return to the days of the Inquisition and a sentence of death to non-believers?
