Obituary: Steven Tingey

Steven Tingey 1941 ~ 2005 Steven L. Tingey, 64, passed away July 26, 2005. He was born January 31, 1941 in Centerville, Utah the son of Allen D. and Maxine Cahoon Tingey. He married Barbara Rueckert, later divorced, married Leona Wierz, divorced, married Verletta Potts. He was a life long Centerville resident and was self-employed as a small engine mechanic, clockmaker and woodworker. Steve had a love of the outdoors. He is survived by five sons and four daughters; Jeff (Corrie) Tingey, Bill Tingey, Shane (Kristin) Tingey, Bryan (Ginger) Ashdown, Gary (Debbie) Ashdown, Marcie (Mike) Reilly, Sandy Dradge, Dannielle Burr, Shelly Bernhardt. Also survived by a brother Roland Tingey and three sisters Anna Boulton, Colleen Potts and Karen Sherwood. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Verletta, brother Joe and sister Margaret, also a grandson, Chance Tingey and granddaughter Amanda Ashdown. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday July 30, 2005 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call Friday July 29th from 6-8 p.m. and 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Sat. prior to services.
