Harold Rollo Bills, Jr. 2/8/1924 ~ 7/4/05 BOUNTIFUL- Harold Rollo Bills, Jr. passed away Monday, July 4, 2005 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 8, 1924 in Pocatello, Idaho to Harold Rollo and Francis Wellard Bills. Harold married Erma Payne on February 22, 1954. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 9, 1961. They had three children, Erma Naone (Stephen) Warren; Harold Douglas (Shanna) Bills; and David Jay (Tammy) Bills. He has nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Harold was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many positions, including Bishopric, Ward Clerk, Stake Clerk, and Young Men's President. Harold and his wife served three LDS missions: Oakland, CA; New York City, NY; and the Salt Lake Family History Center. He also served as a Temple Ordinance Worker. Harold served in World War II with the US Army 40th Bombardment Group 25th Bombardment Squadron. He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1980. Harold enjoyed genealogy, traveling, boating, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mabel Hardy, Vernal, Joy Brewster, St. George, and Bonnie (Les) Knudsen, Pingree, ID; and brother-in-law William Hone, Twin Falls, ID. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alexander and Terrell; two sisters, Margory Hone and Mona Perkins and a grandchild, Wendy Warren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Bountiful East Stake Center, 2150 South 650 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday morning from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
