Lyla Kay Simmons Adams "Lulu" Our loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Lyla Kay Simmons Adams, returned to her Heavenly Father July 31, 2005. She was born July 12, 1943 to Kerby and Thelma May Simmons in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lyla married Arthur Lynn Adams, June, 1959 and together they had six children. Later they were divorced. Lyla loved working with crafts, and helping her friends and family. The things our mother loved were Wendover, Lagoon, chocolate, Pepsi, Easter, Christmas, decorating Christmas trees, Iceberg and collecting pigs. Most of all she was devoted to her family and loved to be with her grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and all those who knew her. She is survived by her children, Lora (John) Collier, Wade Adams, Bobbi Adams, Shane Adams, Monte Adams, Roy (Debbie) Adams, 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, mother, Thelma Simmons Benfell, sisters, Lois Harmon, Frances (James) Savington, Jo Christensen, Sherrie Cropper, Vickie (James) Balis, Collette Faust, and many loving nieces and nephews. Lyla was preceded in death by her father, Kerby Simmons. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the mortuary and 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be private services at a later time.
