Obituary: Viola Paget Irish

Viola Paget Irish 1907 ~ 2005 Viola P. Irish, age 98, passed away quietly August 22, 2005 at Salt Lake City, Utah. Born March 7, 1907, at Lake Point, Utah to Samuel E. and Lavina Yates Paget. Married LeRoy W. Irish at Lake Point, Utah June 2, 1926. Sealed later in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death June 20, 1998. She was active in various positions in the Relief Society and Primary over the years and was a member of the DUP as well. She was a long time resident of South Salt Lake prior to moving to the Atria Retirement Center in Sandy eight years ago. She is survived by one son, Glen L. (Effie) Irish, Midvale; and a daughter, Joy I. (Ray) Thornley, Hyde Park, Utah; 10 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their appreciation to caregivers at Atria Assisted Living Center and CareSource Care Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Thursday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East in Sandy, Utah.
