MOAB, Grand County — A Texas woman was killed instantly Tuesday when the vehicle she was riding in rolled several times, caving in the roof.
Killed was:
Whitney Rich, 18, Copell, Texas.
Rich was one of two passengers in a Ford Explorer traveling north on U-191 near Moab. The driver apparently fell asleep and the vehicle left the road. When the driver awoke, he overcorrected and the vehicle rolled, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The driver and a back-seat passenger suffered minor injuries. All occupants were wearing seat belts. The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
