Obituary: Ruth Fillmore Maddox

Ruth Fillmore Maddox 1918 ~ 2006 Ruth Verona Fillmore Maddox, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully January 7, 2006 with her family at her bedside. Ruth was born August 8, 1918 to Frank and Daisy Fillmore in Murray, Utah. Married Anthon Maddox May 17, 1941. They were later divorced. She received her temple endowments August 20, 1977. Ruth enjoyed reading, gardening, rock hounding, hiking, and traveling, but the focus of her life was her family. She set the highest standard of what it means to be a grandmother. She is survived by her children, Karen (Steven) Tregeagle, Craig (Marianne), Frank (Linda); 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Darlene Stilovich. We express our gratitude to Life Path Hospice and the Sandy Regional Care Center for their assistance in caring for our mom. A visitation celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. from 6:30-8 p.m. Private graveside service will be held.
