The Utah Blaze will be on display today at the Delta Center for all interested. The brand new Arena Football League team, nearly one week into training camp for the upcoming 16-game season, will hold a "fanfest" today from 4 to 8 p.m.
The team is scheduled to practice on its new field from 4 to 7 p.m. The final hour will be for fans to meet and get autographs from the players and coaches. Fans will be able to check out the views from various seats in the Delta Center for the indoor football setup.
The Blaze are coached by former Dallas Cowboy star QB Danny White. Currently, 33 players — including eight from in-state colleges — are vying for 24 roster spots. The season will open Jan. 28 with a road game against the San Jose SaberCats. The home-opener is Feb. 4 against the Dallas Desperadoes.
