Jan Hunter 03/19/17 ~ 01/12/06 Jan Stanger Hunter, passed away at Cottonwood Hospital January 12, 2006 due to respiratory and cardiac failure. Jan was born in American Falls Idaho, March 19, 1917, to Alta and Rudger Stanger. She was the 3rd oldest and 1st daughter of 12 children. Jan was very involved in music and dancing thru her work with the Senior Citizens, and thru the LDS Stake. She conducted the Sweet Adeline's and the Wasatch Suburbanettes singing group for many years giving shows around the valley. Jan was an excellent musician and teacher to many. Jan is survived by her daughter, Gwen (Wallace-Gordon), of Murray, Utah; a granddaughter, Michelle (Michael) of Ruidoso, New Mexico; brothers, Conover Stanger (Donna) of San Diego, Jeff Stanger (Pauline) of Greenville, New York; sisters, Maevonne Berooty (John) of Tustin, CA, and Pearl Larrison (John) of Costa Mesa, CA. Jan was blessed with a large extended family. Jan was preceded in death by seven siblings; and her beloved husband, George Hunter. Funeral services will be held at Murray 23rd Ward, 755 East Three Fountains Drive, Wednesday, January 18, 2006 11:00 a.m. Viewing prior to services at 10:00. Internment will be in American Falls, Idaho Thursday, January 19, 2006. Directors, Independent Funeral Service.
