Obituary: Joy Midgley Orr

Joy Midgley Orr 1918 ~ 2006 Joy Midgley Orr was born in Salt Lake City, June 13, 1918. A daughter of J. George and Anna Grant Midgley. She was a granddaughter of Heber J. Grant. She graduated from East High and attended BYU. She married Lauchie A. Orr on July 20, 1942 in Olympia, Washington. He passed away July 4, 1984. As a member of Rose Park 2nd Ward, she worked in Primary, Relief Society and was a Den Mother. She also belonged to Salt Lake Mothers Club, University of Utah Mothers Club, Elks Service (Ladies) Club and Wasatch Literary Club. She was interested in people and had a wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include Janice (Lawrence) Reaveley, Richard (Marcia) Orr, Maryanne (Nick) Arentz, and Geri (Mike) Shanley; seven grandchildren, one grandchild preceded her in death; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Condolences www.larkinmortuary.com
