Kermit Cook 1914 ~ 2006 A mighty pillar has passed from this life. Kermit Cook, age 91, of Fountain Green, Utah passed away January 3, 2006 in Lehi, Utah. He was born January 30, 1914 in Fountain Green, Utah to Thomas Henry and Anna Elizabeth Nielson Cook. He married Bessie Irons in the LDS, Manti Temple July 10, 1939. Kermit was a sheep rancher who worked at the side of his father and brothers from the time he was a young boy. Kermit loved the earth and the beauties that God has created. He had many hobbies, one of his favorites was hunting for rocks from which he would make beautiful jewelry for family members and friends. Kermit served in the bishopric in Fountain Green and later served in the Manti Temple as an ordinance worker for many years. He and his wife served a mission together at the Manti Temple Visitors Center. There were three things that mattered most to Kermit; his God, his wife, and his family. We will miss you very much, Dad. We thank you for your teachings and love. Kermit is survived by his wife, Bessie and three daughters; Elsie Ann Bryan (Glen) of West Valley City; Nancy Worthington (Jay) of Highland; Rosemary McFadden (David) of St. George; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, a son, a granddaughter, and a grandson. Memorial services will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W 300 N Nephi, UT on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. Friends may call one hour before the services. Interment will be in the Fountain Green Cemetery.
