Weber County Construction, a joint venture involving Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Co. and Granite Construction Co., has been awarded a $182 million road construction project by the Utah Department of Transportation.
The I-15 NOW (New Ogden Weber expansion) project covers I-15 reconstruction from 31st Street in Ogden to 12th Street in Marriott-Slaterville. UDOT is seeking additional funds to expand I-15 NOW northward by approximately four miles to 2700 North in Pleasant View.
Design work has started, with construction beginning this spring and completed in late spring 2008.
The project, including all options, involves the construction of six completely rebuilt freeway interchanges, 21 new bridges, at least one additional regular traffic lane in each direction and a high occupancy vehicle lane.
