Longtime patrons and others take a final look at the Old Salt City Jail restaurant on Thursday, which is closing after 30 years. Below left, Bonnie and Ken Jackson conduct an auction of restaurant equipment and memorabilia from the dining spot. Henry Atkinson, who was the singing sheriff for 25 years at the restaurant, submitted the winning bid for the roll-top desk where he greeted restaurant visitors and took pictures. Another item sold at the auction was the restaurant's actual jail cell with mannequins. "We sold our hearts out," said Bonnie Jackson. "And I think the crowd had a fun time." The restaurant was closed to make more room for the Anniversary Inn.
